Why is Rutgers that good? Because at the end of last season, idiot Mike Freeman stated that Duke was “not much better than Rutgers.” Well, then Rutgers must be doing pretty damn well right now.
Last night’s win at UNC last night was quite impressive. But rather then take shots at the Tar Heels, we instead we gloat in the face of one Mike Freeman.
Feel free to check here for the entire column written by Freeman last year after VCU defeated Duke in the tournament. We knew it was crap then, and it’s even worse now. Yeah. you can check here for our thoughts on his story back then too.
Currently, Duke is 20-1, 8-0 in the ACC (4 of those on the road), and ranked no. 2 in the country. Keep that in mind while we highlight some excerpts from Freeman’s “over-the-top how does he get paid to write” story from last spring.
–”Now, the Blue Devils dynasty is officially done after suffering its first opening-round loss in over a decade. Goodnight, Dukies. You’re not much better than Rutgers.”
–”The old Duke is dead… The new Duke is just another team.”
Great work, Freeman. Really. We could go on, but have decided not to waste our efforts on this guy any more.

Blackledge spouted off a lot of useless stuff, but then he made a comment that really stood out to us. He said… Read the rest of this entry »
We must admit - we were delighted to read this article that West Virginia decided to hire Bill Stewart as the full time head coach. And we give a big pat on the back to athletic director Ed Pastilong for two reasons: (1) hiring the right guy, and (2) not waiting around to make the hire.
Stewart coached his team in the BCS with a fire, not scared to make a mistake. when many, including us, thought WVU would get dominated, Stewart led his team to the opposite result. Why not hire Stewart? Read the rest of this entry »
Just like we did last year, we are bringing back the Non-bums of 2007 as well. We figure there’s no reason to only harp on the bad, so we’ll follow up with some good. Last season, the former Miss Nevada, Katie Blair, took home the top honor for her drunken party night in Florida. Will another pageant contestant make the cut this year (hint: hells yeah!)?
