So, we’re watching some of the BCS title game preview on ESPN last night.  In addition to the usual crew of Fowler, Corso, and Herbstreit, they have brought in Penn State alum Todd Blackledge to add his two cents.  And if you’re counting, that’s two guys from the Big 10 and 0 from the SEC on the set.

Everyone seems ready to argue about whether or not LSU deserves to play in the title game. But we think the real question is whether Ohio State deserves to be there? What have they done to prove it?

In the end, the Buckeyes beat one team ranked in the top 25 of any poll (AP, Coaches, Harris, BCS). The team they beat was lowly Wisconsin, a team who beat 0 teams now ranked in the top 25 of any poll. So, the Buckeyes lose to Illinois, beat an very over-rated Michigan team, then back their way in because they only have one loss? That’s just terrible. Read the rest of this entry »
