Though he knows he should have made that decision once he realized Bridget Moynahan wasn’t the right girl for him, Tom Brady has now announced he is pulling out of the 2010 Pro bowl.
With his team at 11-6 overall, 2-3 in the Big East, and losers of 3 games in a row, UConn coach Jim Calhoun has decided to take a “Coach K” before this season gets out of hand. Our pal BW’s take on Lane Kiffin leaving Tennessee…
“So I heard the riots got so bad in Knoxville last night they had to call in the basketball team to restore order.”
We read a little earlier that Florida Gator defensive end Carlos Dunlap will be entering the NFL draft. But is he ready? Our inside source talked to one scout, who told him, “If Carlos thinks he can just sleep his way onto an NFL roster, then he has another thing coming.”
Another scout told our source, “When that light turns green at the combine, Dunlap better be ready to show what he’s got.”
Oddly enough, the only person we have come across to really support Dunlap’s decision to try out the NFL is St. Louis Cardinals’ manager Tony LaRussa.
According to ESPN’s Chris Low, Ole Miss quarterback Jevan Snead - coming off a 0 touchdown, 3 interception performance in the Cotton Bowl - is leaning toward entering the NFL draft. At first we were unsure of this decision, but then he told our inside source his reasoning.

We know Ohio State basketball coach Thad Matta has to be under a ton of stress today. His team is coming off a loss to Butler, and their star Evan Turner is out with a back injury. However, those two issues are insignificant compared to what’s really on his mind - the mental health of his players in tonight’s game. Can he keep control of the crowd? Will an opposing fan maybe even rush the court in an attempt to assault one of his guys? Might one of the opposing fans urge one of his players - say, William Buford - to miss a free throw? The possibilities are endless of what negative things might happen.
That’s right folks, Presbyterian College is visiting Columbus tonight. Do whatever it is you need to do to protect your players tonight, Thad. Whatever it takes.
