The story out of Miami is that Florida International is threatening to pull its men’s basketball team out of the Coaches vs. Cancer pre-season tourney since it will be playing North Carolina instead of Ohio State.

In doing his best Wayne’s World impression, Gazelle Group president Rick Giles said, “I would be stunned if Isiah Thomas’ first act as a head coach was to break a contract.”

Hold on, we assume the reporter quoting Giles stopped the recorder before Giles finished his quote.  There is no doubt his actual line was, “I would be stunned if Isiah Thomas’ first act as a head coach was to break a contract. NOT.”
