If there was a line out there on what topic would so inspire to get back to posting, we assume Brett Favre would have beeen a Big Brown type favorite. And rightfully so. While browsing the sports pages today, we came to find out that even the AP has a love affair with ol’ Brett. We thought it was just ESPN, but apparently his heroism knows no bounds. Here’s the entirety of a short article from the AP (we have bolded and italicized out favortie part)…

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — Brett Favre said his rocket right arm feels “fatigued” — but not sore — during a break from his fifth day of practice with the New York Jets.

“My arm’s kind of dragging a little bit today,” the quarterback said Wednesday after the Jets’ morning session. “It’s not really sore, but just fatigued. To be honest with you, I’m surprised that, I don’t want to say I feel good, that I’ve been able to make it through every practice so far.”

Favre was acquired from the Green Bay Packers last week, and has been practicing with the Jets since Saturday. He’s set to start Saturday’s preseason game against the Washington Redskins.

Favre said he’ll talk to coach Eric Mangini about limiting his throws in the afternoon practice.

Yes, the anonymous AP writers chose to refer to one of Favre’s limbs as his “rocket right arm.” Awesome. Of course, that’s not to be confused with Peyton Manning’s “laser rocket arm.” Anyway, here’s the way we really wish Favre’s comments had gone down…

Reporter: Brett, how you feeling after practice today?

Brett: Pretty good, but my rocket right arm is a bit fatigued.
